Jiguang Street is a commercial street that was developed in the early days of Taichung City. The area was called "Rong Town" during the Japanese colonial era. Before Taiwan's restoration, the street was mainly occupied by cloth shops, restaurants, watch shops, and grocery stores; from the Japanese occupation era to the early days of restoration, it could be said to be one of the busiest streets in Taichung City.
