
The Chiayi City Government has promoted the "Old Town Revitalization" local revitalization plan, which has just been recognized by CommonWealth Magazine's Governance Excellence Award "Economic Growth Group". Today (22), Chiayi Mayor Huang Minhui continued to lead the team to launch the "Ertong Circle" map at the "Green Inn. Manman Huijia" hotel chain, showing the results of the 113-year "Image Reconstruction" plan of 8 special stores, and launched the "Ertong Circle" walking map, integrating 21 special stores that participated in the image reconstruction in three years and categorizing and indexing them, hoping to attract more tourists to walk into the Ertong Circle and experience the innovative changes in Chiayi City.
Mayor Huang Minhui said that the "Second Link" carries the common memories of Chiayi people and witnesses the prosperity of history. In recent years, the city government launched the "Ertong Circle" block brand under the name of "Old Town Innovator", connecting single points into lines and finally expanding into a surface, successfully guiding 21 stores to introduce design thinking and promote transformation. Rediscover the historical spirit and lifestyle of Ertong and showcase the unique local culture of this land. Through the inheritance and innovation of the store, we not only reproduce the local aesthetics, but also attract more young people to return home to start businesses. By combining the power of economy, creativity and cultural tourism, the goal of "revitalizing the old city" will continue to be achieved. Mayor Huang Min-hui also mentioned that today's exhibition showcases the results of the design and renovation of special stores. For example, the Sanwei Juice 3.0 (juice milk) jointly created by "Daddy's Fresh Milk" and "Sanwei Juice" was seen, and the Meijie Art Gallery also used the leftover materials of art frames to make small pendants, all of which showed the meaning of aesthetics and sustainability. The "Ertong Circle" walking map was published, with an index of five major categories, including "food", "groceries", "traditional crafts", "family accommodation" and "drinks", showing various forms of Chiayi Old Town style. Visitors are welcome to explore and experience the map. The city government will also continue to focus on "innovation" and "experience" and introduce more local brands, youth entrepreneurship teams and block renovation design teams to build energy for the Ertong Circle!
Hong Jurui, the manager of Seiko Engraving, who participated in the 113th annual featured store image reconstruction, expressed his gratitude to the city government for its guidance in recreating the characteristics of the Seiko Engraving store. After the reconstruction, not only the "engraving" element was more highlighted, but it also made it easier for consumers to find products. Cai Huiyu of Meijie Art Gallery said that after the designer's renovation, the store's traffic flow and facade were reorganized. Now the magnificent store has a "100% return rate", which is the most unexpected surprise for them.
Director Tian Changpei of the Construction Department of Chiayi City Government said that the store image re-creation plan was commissioned by the Chiayi City Government to provide guidance for the Fantasia Minimally Invasive Cultural Project. After three years of accumulation, more and more stores have participated in the change, and it has also attracted corporate partners to participate. Last year, it cooperated with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Chiayi Chuiyang Store, and this year it cooperated with the chain hotel brand Ye Green Hotel. The publicity effect has been expanded to the group's brand travelers and areas such as Taichung and Chiayi, which has repeatedly demonstrated the phased rhythm of the Chiayi City Government's promotion of the local revitalization plan. Pan Guancheng, CEO of Fantasia Minimally Invasive Culture, said that by learning from Taichung’s experience, they worked with the Chiayi City Government to sort out and create the “Ertong Circle” brand to strengthen the sense of life and local identity. The purpose of this walking plan is to allow everyone to take a leisurely walk at a pace of 15 minutes and gain a deeper understanding of Chiayi’s culture and stories. The "Er Tong Circle" walking map has re-inventoryed 21 special stores and divided them into five categories. Whether tourists or local residents, they can rediscover the charm of Chiayi City through the map. During this period, an activity of collecting points for limited gifts is launched. When a certain number of points are collected at stores along different routes, limited gifts can be exchanged. The first floor lobby of Ye Lu Hotel has also cooperated with stores to launch pop-up counters.
