The reason why Lecheng Temple was built is that during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the ancestors of the Lin family came from Meizhou to Taiwan to invite Mazu to worship. When they arrived at Hanxi, Mazu chose a place to settle down, so the villagers built a temple to worship her. It has a history of more than 200 years. This temple has two halls. The roof of the front hall is a double-eaved hip-and-gable style, which looks more magnificent than other temples. A pair of bluestone lions at the main entrance and many remaining granite slabs indicate the long history of the temple. The Ministry of the Interior approved Lecheng Palace as a national third-level historical site in 1985, so a tour of the historic site can also be arranged. The long-standing, 200-year-old incense burner, the exquisitely carved altar, stone door pillows and stone bases, and bluestone ancient lions are all witnesses to the 200-year history of Lecheng Palace.
